Carolina Gomes' ongoing jewelry series is inspired by the magical world of the coral reef. Born and raised by the sea, this proximity has given the artist a deep connection with the sea. The jewels are sculptures made of polymer clay. Unique pieces, hand-modelled by the artist.
The artist sees the world as a large stage, on which various forces and energies move. Being open and observing different details and different perspectives brings us closer to understanding life. The idea behind the work is to mix strange shapes and colors adding a playful, creative, sensorial and authentic touch.
